A slightly different take on the same location as yesterday’s photo. Living in Germany, I realise how much I took clear nights for granted in Australia. I feel like I should go climb some mountains to get above the clouds and see some stars again.
This was taken a couple of weeks before I left Melbourne. I was trying out a new lens and decided to give some star trails a go. For a first serious go, I think it turned out pretty well. I like all the extra stuff that comes out with long exposures at night, the satellites, the planes landing, the cyclists on the pier. It definitely makes Melbourne seem bustling, which it is!
