Skipped over this shot the first time I skimmed through my photos from New York. Going over them again, it stood out to me. I really like the composition and the minimalism of the shot. This an outdoor area at MOMA that was closed the day I went (since it was pissing down with rain).
I don’t doubt that the chairs are deliberately arranged, and the and their arrangement is striking in its simplicity. Like a lot of the art on display at MOMA, the distinction between function and form is shapeless and murky
