Tower Bridge in London stands sentinal over the Thames, regal and majestic. As the story goes, Robert McCulloch thought he was was buying Tower Bridge when the much less impressive London Bridge was put up for sale in 1968. It was deconstructed and reassembled brick by brick at Lake Havasu in Arizona.
Upon completion of the reconstruction, I can only imagine that the Schadenfreude emanating from Mr McCulloch realising his mistake would’ve been fatal for everyone in a 50km radius.
