Now we’re back from the trip, I have a mountain of photos to sift through and start editing. This was a quick edit I did on one of the best views we had during our time in the UK. This is at the top of Beeston Castle near Chester. The castle was built as an impregnable stronghold near the border with Wales, and has views over 8 counties.
We were lucky to have a beautifully clear morning with the castle to ourselves, and the view was simply amazing. The frost still clinging to fields indicates how chilly we were! The image is a handheld 8-frame panorama at 16mm, with editing in Lightroom 4. Click for full resolution (it’s worth a click!).
