Melissa has challenged me to be more active with my posts (fair enough, I started this with the best intentions and haven’t actually done much with it yet). So with that in mind, I’m going to try to post a photo every day. Some will be snapshots, some will have a bit more effort put into the processing. I will write a bit about some of the photos. By the end of the year, I will have a measure of how my photography and processing skills have improved, as well as a record of all our adventures.
I know that I am going to hit a wall at some point, but I’m going to try to hang on to the motivation I have right now and see this through. Of course, encouragement is welcome.
So, without further ado. Step 1 of 365.
A year ago I could not have pictured that I would be bringing in 2015 with 75,000 other people in Edinburgh, after having packed up my life to move to Europe a few months ago. Hogmanay is all about reflecting on the year past, and I certainly feel like 2014 threw a lot at me.
It’s been mostly highs with few challenges thrown in, but being able to say that I’ve grown into a stronger, wiser person lets me know that I would do it all again. My comfort zone has grown, and I’m starting to look at its edges and see all the opportunities I have in front of me. I’ll take the lessons and memories of 2014 and invest them in making 2015 a year of success, growth and adventure. I can’t wait.
